Requirements for Hillwalking:

- Boots with good grip and ankle support
- Waterproof Jacket
- Waterproof Trousers / Leggings
- Good Socks
- Warm Clothes (Fleece is ideal)
- Warm Hat
- Gloves
- Packed Lunch
- Hot Drink
- Water (min 1 litre) (In addition to hot
drink)
- Rucksack
- Watch
- Change of clothes in car for end of walk
- Trekking Poles
- Spare Socks
- Mobile Phone
- Torch
- Whistle
- Bivvy Bag

- Jeans or Trainers are not allowed under
any circumstances.
- If you do not have the Essential Gear
listed above, you will not accompany the Comeragh Mountaineering Club on
the Grade “C” or any club walk.
- Rambling, Hillwalking and Climbing are
activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants should
be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own
actions and involvement.
